Prayer Ministry
.
This is the assurance we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us-- whatever we ask -- we know that we have what we asked of him. ~1 John 5:14, 15

PRAYER and PETITION are a regular part of our meeting as a community before our God each week.  The requested prayer is recorded and passed along to the formal PRAYER MINISTRIES COMMITTEE who meets right after the main service at the front of the Church to pray for these and other prayers.  Prayer lists are distributed to the committee and prayer continues over the course of the week.   Please note that there is also a Prayer Request page on this site.

We also take part in the  10-Days of Prayer to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our local Church and in Churches around the World.  Go HERE for more information on 10-Days of Prayer.

"In visions of the night representations passed before me of a great reformatory movement among God's people. Many were praising God. The sick were healed, and other miracles were wrought. . . . Hundreds and thousands were seen visiting families, and opening before them the word of God. Hearts were convicted by the power of the Holy Spirit, and a spirit of genuine conversion was manifest. On every side doors were thrown open to the proclamation of the truth. The world seemed to be lightened with the heavenly influence. Great blessings were received by the true and humble people of God."--Testimonies, vol. 9, p. 126

"In the future the earth is to be lightened with the glory of God. A holy influence is to go forth to the world from those who are sanctified through the truth. The earth is to be encircled with an atmosphere of grace. The Holy Spirit is to work on human hearts, taking the things of God and showing them to men."

{CCh 66.2}

The descent of the Holy Spirit upon the church is looked forward to as in the future; but it is the privilege of the church to have it now. Seek for it, pray for it, believe for it. We must have it, and Heaven is waiting to bestow it.

--Review and Herald, March 19, 1895.

I saw jets of light shining from cities and villages, and from the high places and the low places of the earth. God's word was obeyed, and as a result there were memorials for Him in every city and village. His truth was proclaimed throughout the world.
